What is the FSSC 22000 standard?
FSSC 22000 (version 5) is a comprehensive certification scheme that covers businesses across the entire spectrum of the food chain, excluding primary production of plant material. It is recognized by GFSI and combines – mainly – the requirements of ISO 22000:2018 and the technical standards of the ISO organization (ISO/TS 22002 series) on the prerequisites (PRPs) concerning the rules of good industrial and hygiene practice of the sector concerned (food manufacturing, catering, animal farming, food packaging, logistics, brokering, bio-chemicals, etc.).
It should be noted that this scheme clearly defines the specifications and requirements of the various sectors of the production process in order to meet the prerequisites.

Who is it aimed at?
