ISO 14001:2015

ISO 14001 sets out the criteria for an Environmental Management System. It does not state requirements for environmental performance, but mainly maps out a framework that a company or organisation can follow to create an effective Environmental Management System. ISO 14001 was developed primarily to help companies with a framework for better management control, which can lead to a reduction in their environmental impact.

It can be used by any organisation that wants to improve resource efficiency, reduce waste and cut costs. The use of ISO 14001 can provide assurance to company management and employees as well as external parties that environmental impact is being measured and improved. ISO 14001 can also be integrated into other management functions and helps companies achieve their environmental and financial goals, including higher compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements.
