Obligation for tourist accommodation to obtain Health First certification!
In order to prevent the transmission and spread of COVID-19, the relevant KYA-1881-29.5.2020 (as replaced and in force M.A. 1632/21.04.2021) was issued, which defines the health protocols under which tourism businesses are required to operate.
All hotels and tourist accommodation establishments must display a “Health First” sign in a prominent place in the reception area through which compliance with the protocols is demonstrated. On this basis, it becomes mandatory to draw up an action plan to show the preventive measures taken by the accommodation, as well as a plan for the management of a suspected case. The protocol also provides for the appointment of a coordinator, staff training, HACCP compliance, a cleaning and disinfection programme, etc.
